Dr. Bao-Tran Nguyen is a dedicated and highly experienced optometrist with a deep passion for patient-centered eye care. She earned her certifications in Therapeutic Optometry and Optometric Glaucoma from the prestigious University of Houston College of Optometry in 2002. To further refine her expertise, she completed an intensive Ocular Disease and Pathology Clinical Externship at St. Joseph Hospital, where she gained hands-on experience in diagnosing and managing complex ocular conditions. Additionally, she undertook a second internship in Primary Eyecare, providing essential vision care to underserved communities at various clinics catering to low-income families.

With years of experience in the field, Dr. Nguyen is a seasoned optometrist who seamlessly integrates her knowledge of ocular disease management with preventive eye care strategies. Her extensive clinical background allows her to diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions using both cutting-edge medical advancements and holistic approaches. She believes that eye health is deeply connected to overall well-being, and her philosophy emphasizes a comprehensive approach—treating not just the symptoms but also the underlying causes to promote long-term vision health.

Beyond her professional expertise, Dr. Nguyen brings a personal touch to her practice. Having navigated her own vision challenges, she deeply understands the impact of eye health on daily life. Dr. Hang T. Nguyen

Therapeutic Optometrist

Dr. Hang T. Nguyen is a licensed therapeutic optometrist and an optometric
glaucoma specialist at Ella Eyes. She has earned her Doctor of Optometry
degree from University of Houston - College of Optometry with honors.
Dr. Nguyen has successfully owned and managed multiple offices for over 25
years. She has also served as a consultant for many medical and optometric
offices in operations management.

She has also served as Doctor Advisor for several vision insurance
committees.

Dr. Nguyen has many years of experience in providing comprehensive eye
exams, diagnosing, managing and treating many ocular diseases such as
glaucoma, cataracts, retinal disorders and many other ocular diseases.
She is specialized in myopia management, specialty contact lens fittings such
as Ortho K, scleral lenses and treating dry eyes by continuing to attend yearly
seminars to learn and train on the latest research and treatment.

Dr. Nguyen has often shared and advised her peers on business knowledge
and management skills to help others build up and maintain their practices.
Dr. Nguyen's years of experience and knowledge are greatly respected by her
patients and have created the loyalty of many patients even from other states
and other countries throughout the years. However, her commitment to spend
the necessary time and the great efforts to communicate, educate her patients
to maintain good ocular health, manage their eye conditions and to prevent
vision loss is her greatest asset.

Her passion for optometry is second to none but her dedication to her patients
is at the highest level.

Dr. Nguyen treats every patient like a member of family. She will often call
patients after hours to see how they are doing with their treatments or simply
to ask them if they have any further questions.
